Handcrafted in France at Altesse Studio using 19th-century brush-making techniques, this exceptional tool is shaped, drilled, and bristled entirely by hand. Each brush arrives with a certificate of authenticity, an heirloom beauty essential to be cherished and passed down for generations. Brush handles are crafted from noble olive wood of exceptional beauty from the trunks cut by olive oil producers after the trees are too aged to produce olives. Following the carving of our brush handles at our workshop, the wood shavings are collected and given to local French farmers for use in their orchards, allowing the wood to return to the earth.
